FAQ

Can I buy Sängsor for myself or for one of my parents?

Currently, Cenvigo only works with health and social care organizations, not directly with private individuals. Please feel free to reach out and let us know about organizations or individuals you think would be interested in hearing more about our services.

Who can use Sängsor?

Sängsor can, in theory, be used by anyone who wants to/needs to know more about how they sleep: how it fluctuates and so forth. At present, we at Cenvigo work primarily with health and social care providers who work with elderly care. Our services provide personalized care and safer nights for elders in need of extra attention.

Can Sängsor call for help if anything were to happen?

Not at the moment. However, Sängsor does have a notification function that alerts the caregiver that the individual has left their bed and not returned allowing the caregiver to call for help if necessary.

Who sees how I am sleeping?

The health or social care provider who ordered the service from Cenvigo is responsible for monitoring the sensors they have in operation. In practice, this means that the nurses taking care of you and their managers are the ones who can see how you have slept.

What type of information is collected and saved?

Sängsor records information about the person in the bed where the device is placed. It recognizes that a participant is human by analyzing the movements created by a beating heart, expanding lungs, and shifts in position. The information saved is anonymous and is only used to monitor the sleeping habits of that particular device being used.

Who owns the information collected from me?

The information Sängsor collects is owned by your caregiver and should be saved as medical records to monitor your wellbeing. How medical records are handled is regulated in the Swedish Patient Data Act (2008:355).

How does Cenvigo handle my personal data?

Cenvigo acts as a data processor. This means that the care provider responsible for assisting you in your everyday life is also responsible for how your personal data is handled.

We at Cenvigo deliver a service that keeps your personal data safe and that only allows access for our customers/caregivers.

Our services give your caregiver the opportunity to control who within the organization should be able to see what information.

More information about the division of responsibilities between data controllers and processors can be found at the Swedish Data Protection Authority.
